PAUL GAUGUIN (1848-1903) – One of the most intriguing figures ever, his works moved from Impressionism (soon deserted) to a beautiful and fiery imagery, as can be seen in his ‘Polynesian artworks’. Matisse and Fauvism couldn’t be comprehended without the works of Paul Gauguin.
